HYDRATION & HOW TO PREPARE FOR ALTITUDE
Copper Mountain sits at about 9,700 feet elevation. Our Wedding is at the top of the American Eagle lift, at 11,200 feet.—which means thinner air, less oxygen, and a quicker buzz from champagne 🍾. To make sure you feel your best and enjoy the weekend, here are some tips:
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Start drinking extra water a week or two before arriving, and keep it up while you’re here.
Ease up on alcohol + caffeine. They hit harder at altitude (yes, even one glass of wine). Pace yourself!
Take it slow. Your body may need a day to adjust. Don’t sprint up a hiking trail right after landing.
Bring sunscreen + chapstick. The sun is stronger up here, and the air is dry.
Consider altitude helpers. Over-the-counter options like electrolytes or hydration packets can help, and some people swear by chlorophyll drops or even oxygen cans (sold in most Colorado convenience stores).
Most guests will adjust just fine—just listen to your body, drink plenty of water, and take in those mountain views slowly.
